NEMA-Sponsored Training Courses
Understanding and Implementing EMAC
Understanding and Implementing EMAC is designed to provide response and recovery personnel of state and local political jurisdictions with basic information on how they integrate into EMAC within their state as either an Assisting State (providing emergency assistance) or as a Requesting State (receiving emergency assistance).
The outcome of this course is emergency management personnel who are well informed about all general aspects of EMAC. In fact, personnel who deploy under EMAC should have taken this course.
A-Team Training Course
Course Goal
During EMAC activations, Advance Team (A-Team) personnel coordinate resources within their own state (whether requesting state or assisting state) or within the requesting state as deployed EMAC A-Team members. This EMAC training course is designed to familiarize A-Team personnel with the roles and responsibilities of the EMAC A-Team, the EMAC A-Team Resource Typing, and the EMAC Operations System (where resources deployed under EMAC are tracked).
